When Ralph Gonsalves was in Opposition he went out of his way to make sure Parnell Campbell begs his bread, well PR you are doing a very good job at it. Ralph went to Parliament to try to impeach Parnell when he was Attorney General. Parnell is now putting his hand in fire for Ralph by joining with him to destroy our people with this hoax document. What a world, what is in the Marta besides the pestle? Something is not right with this picture. My granny use to say “take time and kill ants you will find the belly” We will not let these men destroy our future and our democracy. How can we trust them when they cannot trust each other, is this a comedy show where the “stars” can only shine in bright daylight?
My granny again uses to tell me, “common sense and street sense mek before book sense”. It seems like these two men aint got any of those senses my granny uses to talk about. Ralph Gonsalves and Parnell after all this wickedness both of you will call upon this nation to bring some water to quench your thirst from the flames of hell. While we all are aware that the Constitution of any nation should not be political, when the drafters, tricksters and highway robbers of our freedoms and rights are all about power and money, politics and selfishness how can we trust? We must take the campaign wherever and however to safeguard our people.
It is absolutely not necessary to amend the Constitution of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with this proposed document. The items outlined in this huge proposed document could be changed anytime without a Referendum as the Government has enough votes in Parliament to make all the changes. These changes do not require a Referendum. The only change that needs a Referendum in this proposed document is the CCJ and there is no urgency for this court at this moment. Tell me why anyone who is of a sound mind, who cares about the nation, would spend millions and millions of dollars for a “yes vote” that is not necessary. How could any human being be so unconscionable when our economy is sinking, and unemployment is growing?
It is heartening to see that the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines are waking up to the call to save our people and our nation to secure our future, our rights, our freedoms and our democracy. Ralph Gonsalves and Parnell Campbell underestimated our people, we are not dumb as Ralph and his cronies thought, he got a rude awakening on Sunday when our people showed him the index finger. Ralph and Parnell are so blind; they wallow in their own dreams and schemes that they cannot see us. All they know is how to run to court when we open our mouths. The entire nation has an opportunity on Saturday night to come out in numbers to show them that we will denounce their arrogance, gross disrespect and disregard for us. We do not have to incite unrest and civil disobedience for any blockade to show them that our people deserve better. All we are asking our beloved people to do is to exercise their God given rights to let their voices be their weapons and come November 25th let the index finger be their “bullet”.
